Atty. Juan Paolo Miguel B. Leido is a Senior Associate with seven years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution. His practice includes civil, criminal, and commercial litigation; construction arbitration; international commercial arbitration; and labor and employment advisory and litigation. He is a member of the Firm’s Arbitration Practice Group.
Skip was instrumental in the teams that successfully represented a telecommunications giant in a first-of-its-kind suit against the Philippine Competition Commission for a deal worth P69 Billion; obtained a favorable arbitral award worth over P100 Million for one of the largest construction companies in the Philippines; and successfully defended the directors and officers of a foreign investor corporation, involved in one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the country, against non-bailable criminal charges filed by one of the Philippines’ largest conglomerates. He also represents public utilities and major corporations in precedent-setting public interest cases before the Supreme Court involving the telecommunications, water and waste water and insurance industries.
Skip advises and represents local, regional, and international leaders in telecommunications, insurance, construction, real estate, shipping, aviation, broadcasting, manufacturing and business process outsourcing. He has also advised and successfully represented foreign individual clients in multi-jurisdictional estate settlement proceedings and online extortion cases.
Skip was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2013. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2012, where he was awarded the Dean's Award (Silver Medal) for Best Thesis. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the same university.
