Professional Background

 

Atty. Noel Kris E. Illescas is a Partner with over eight years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution. He is also a member of the Firm’s Arbitration Practice Group. His practice covers criminal, civil, commercial and tax litigation, corporate rehabilitation and insolvency, insurance, intra-corporate disputes and construction arbitration.

 

Recently, Noel was part of the team that successfully defended minority shareholders and directors of a public company owning several tertiary hospitals in the Philippines and abroad in an intra-corporate dispute for control over the said corporation. He likewise significantly contributed to the teams that secured a favorable judgment worth more than half a billion pesos in a dispute where the Firm successfully represented one of the largest banks in the Philippines; successfully defended a local corporation in a just compensation case against the Government; and obtained a multi-million arbitral award before the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission involving one of the leading construction corporations in the country.

 

Noel was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2016. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2015. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines, where he graduated cum laude.
