Atty. Mark Leo P. Bejemino is a Senior Associate of the Firm with more than four (4) years of intellectual property experience. His practice focuses on trademark and patent prosecution as well as intellectual property litigation. Mark placed fourth in the 2014 Philippine Bar Examinations and has a degree in Applied Physics from the University of the Philippines, where he graduated cum laude.
Mark applies his superior technical acumen to patent drafting and prosecution matters, freedom to operate searches, and patent invalidation and infringement cases. His patent expertise was invaluable in the Firm’s recent victory in two patent cancellation cases for Getz Pharma (Phils)., Inc. He also handles domestic and foreign trademark prosecution, particularly the filing and prosecution of trademarks under the Madrid Protocol for BDO Unibank, Inc., as well as trademark litigation before the regular courts and the Philippine Intellectual Property Office.
Mark is one of the participants in the Patent Drafting Training Course conducted by the Fédération Internationale Des Conseils En Propriété Intellectuelle (FICPI) Academy of Education which was completed in 2020. He is a member of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP) and is involved in the Developmental Legal Aid Committee of the Intergrated Bar of the Philippines – Makati Chapter.
Mark obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines and was awarded the Dean's Medal for Academic Excellence and the Salvador T. Carlota Prize for Best Paper in Administrative Law and the Law on Public Officers.
