Atty. Fritz Julius V. Casama is a Senior Associate with at least four (4) years of corporate law experience. He has extensive experience in the fields of general corporate law, labor, mergers and acquisition, real estate, financing and taxation. He has also been involved in major business transactions with highly regarded key players in the industry of food, e-commerce, energy, logistics, business process outsourcing, and telecommunications.
Fritz has been actively engaged in several due diligence work and crafting legal advice on optimized investment structures and business vehicles for incoming foreign investments and projects, as well as public offerings in international stock exchanges. Specifically, Fritz has been consistently assigned herculean tasks of researching and preparing a comprehensive legal regulatory framework which demands hours of collating valid government issuances, a careful and targeted scrutiny of applicable provisions from a vast arrays of laws, regulations and issuances which are critical to the proposed investments, as well as correspondence with a number of government such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Department of Energy, Department of Education, and Department of Agriculture. Being a certified public accountant, he is also well-versed in the practice of taxation. Consequently, he has been the designated as one of the Firm’s tax associates tasked to analyze the tax implications of various types of transactions, recent Supreme Court pronouncements on the field of taxation, as well as the related issuances of the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Having been exposed to several globally-accepted practices on investment structures, Fritz is deeply knowledgeable of existing tax avoidance schemes formulated to legally reduce financial leakages and maximize capital returns for the potential investors. He has also rendered legal advice on the relevant laws and regulations for businesses focusing on renewable energy, online e-commerce platforms, and automobile. He has also been actively involved in business start-ups, attends and participates in forums and seminars involving energy efficiency, and has first-hand experience with the government requirements and procedures for newly incorporated businesses.
Fritz finished his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy from De La Salle University – Manila in 2013, graduating with honorable mention. Thereafter, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2017, graduating with honors. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2018 and joined the Firm in 2021. He has also been listed as one of the Recommended Lawyers for Projects and Energy of Legal500 for Asia Pacific for the year 2025.
