Atty. Monica Leonila B. Siron is a Senior Associate with seven years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution. Her fields of expertise include criminal and commercial litigation, corporate rehabilitation and insolvency, insurance, intra-corporate disputes, labor and employment, anti-graft and corruption, telecommunications and information communication technology and competition law.
She has successfully represented clients from a diverse array of sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, business process outsourcing, mining, stock brokerage, as well as individuals from the private and public sectors, before trial and appellate courts, quasi-judicial agencies, prosecutorial offices and regulatory bodies.
Monica played a key role in the Firm’s team that acted as counsel for one of the major mobile telecommunications providers in the country in a historic case against the Philippine Competition Commission involving a P69 Billion transaction. Among her other notable works are winning a long-drawn out intra-corporate dispute of a large mining company; securing dismissals of anti-graft and corruption practices cases against prominent public officials; actively advising and representing a 5,000-employee strong BPO in labor and employment matters and cases; and successfully defending against various criminal cases for libel, violation of data privacy laws, and other offenses under penal statutes.
Monica was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2013. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2012, where she was a member and published author of the Ateneo Law Journal. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines.
