V&A Partner, Rashel Ann C. Pomoy Conducts Masterclass on Special Labor Topics

V&A Law’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, through Rashel Ann C. Pomoy, recently conducted a masterclass for Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. on special labor topics, specifically on sexual harassment in the workplace and mental health, at the Makati Stock Exchange last 18 April 2024. The Firm’s Associate, Joselle M. Francisco, joined Rashel at the event, which gathered a diverse audience that included not only Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc.’s in-house Human Resource managers and department heads, but also representatives from different companies such as Generika Drugstore, Medethix, Inc., HMC, Inc. and IE Medica, Inc.

Rashel, who also acts as the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group Deputy Head, discussed the mandates of three laws, the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act, Safe Spaces Act and Mental Health Act, outlining the punishable acts, penalties, and the essential duties of employers to empower and equip the attendees with actionable strategies to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment.

The event served as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and Atty. Pomoy's masterclass was a pivotal step towards ensuring compliance, promoting employee well-being, and cultivating a culture of respect within the company.
